bgiOpenFontDialog

Category: BGI GUI

Syntax:

bgiOpenFontDialog:String(window:Int)

Parameters

Returns

String

Summary

Shows a font chooser and returns the font picked.

Takes window (Int), which must be a BGI window. The chooser opens on the last font chosen, Arial 12 the first time.

Returns "name, size" with the size in points, or an empty string if the dialog is cancelled or window is not a BGI window. Read the parts back with bgiGetSelectedFontName, bgiGetSelectedFontSize, bgiGetSelectedFontBold and bgiGetSelectedFontItalic.

In this edition the name is the font actually installed: a Linux system substitutes for Windows fonts it does not have, so asking for Arial gives "Liberation Sans". The chooser has no underline, strikeout or colour settings, so bgiGetSelectedFontUnderline, bgiGetSelectedFontStrikeout and bgiRequestedRed/Green/Blue keep their previous values.
