Oh Schrödinger!

You are the cat. Nothing inside a tomb is decided until you look - and the ghosts only move while you're not watching them. A Crashtober 2026 game jam entry.

Description
An Oh Mummy (Amstrad CPC, 1984) style maze game with a quantum twist. Walk all the way round a tomb to open it - its contents don't exist until that moment, and a half-traced tomb flickers between two possibilities until you finish observing it. Ghosts obey the quantum Zeno effect: watched, they freeze; turn your back and they come for you. Find the key and the kitten (alive... or a ghost?), then escape through the door.

Everything is drawn the CPC way - a 160x200 Mode 0 screen of chunky fat pixels in the CPC's 27-colour hardware palette, with sprites and a 5x7 font built from strings at start-up, and the instructions in the Amstrad CPC464 TrueType font. Built in BambooBasic and transpiled to JavaScript and WebGPU for the Crashtober 2026 BASIC game jam.
